Logistics association to hold workshops on financial fundamentals

TORONTO (April 3, 2002) — The Canadian Association of Supply Chain & Logistics Management (SCL) will offer a workshop to help logistics managers gain a better grasp on their balance sheets.

Titled “Fundamentals of Finance for Supply Chain Managers,” the day-long seminar will be held April 10 at the Sheraton Parkway North Hotel in Richmond Hill, Ont. Presenters will talk about accounting and forecasting for supply chain managers, including a primer on activity-based costing for logistics operations.

The seminar costs $465, which includes membership in the association through Dec. 31, 2002. (The price for current SCL members is $250.)
