Look, No Payments: New Mack purchasers win bank holiday

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Eighteen truckers across Canada got a late Christmas present from Mack Canada.

They’re the winners of the Mack Highway Free Payment Extravaganza and the present was recess from their truck payments.

Each fiscal quarter, Mack Financial Services and Mack Canada gives any customer who finances a new highway model a chance to win a break from their payments.

For the first three quarters of 2007, there were 18 winners. The remaining winners who qualified in the fourth quarter will be announced in the coming weeks.

The first-prize winners — who will get a whole year off without payments — are Equipments Lalancette Inc., Eugene Cullihall, Robert Henderson, J.E. Culp Transport Ltd., Knysh Construction Ltd., and Norman Ritchie.

Second prizes — six months without payments — went to Brian Petit, Eagle Trucking Ltd., Edward Allen Shelly, Tarj Trucking Inc., P.P.W. Construction Management Ltd., and T.H. Forsythe Haulage Ltd.

And three payment-free months were awarded to Carl McKinley, M.E.L. Excavating & Cartage Ltd., Lorne Kew, Dyland Danz, Bar-Pex Enterprises and Baird Inc.
