Loomis Courier to change its name to Mayne Logistics Loomis
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (August 20, 2001) — Loomis Courier Service, a national courier company, will change its name to Mayne Logistics Loomis as part of an initiative to create a standard global brand for its parent company, Mayne Nickless Ltd. of Australia.
“During the past two years we have been implementing a number of initiatives such as the enhancement of our on-line customer service technologies to further increase our operation’s efficiencies,” said CEO Brian Fulwiler. “With globalization becoming more prominent in today’s business, adopting a international brand to leverage awareness for our international presence makes very good sense.”
Distribution facilities, trucks, and shipping materials will be rebranded to reflect the change.
Based in Mississauga, Ont., Mayne Logistics Loomis employs more than 3000 people across Canada.
