Lowes bestows TST with Platinum service award

MISSISSAUGA — TST Overland Express has been honoured with Lowe’s Platinum Service Award for top level service delivery in 2009 for Canadian shipments.

Across North America, TST was one of only three LTL recipients of the home improvement retailer’s prestigious award.

TST has been a Lowe’s core carrier since their arrival in Canada in fall 2007, handling both domestic Canadian and all the cross-border shipments.

Lowes says its rapid growth plans for Canada mean TST Overland has had to work closely with Lowes management to ensure the transportation section of the company’s supply chain continues to run smoothly.

TST Overland Express has more than 1,000 employees and over 1,500 power and trailer units.

The TransForce-owned LTL carrier recently expanded its main terminal in Mississauga, which as the primary cross-dock facility, acts as a hub for most of TST’s long linehauls between Eastern Canada and the U.S. and western Canada.
