Meritor expands online technical library
TROY, Mich., (May 10) — Meritor Automotive Inc. added more than 80 new technical publications to the company’s web site, raising the total number of on-line publications in Meritor’s technical library to more than 100.
New online offerings include the most in-demand maintenance and service, product, and parts information, the company said. In addition to the new documents, Meritor has added a search engine to its technical library so information is easier to find. All documents are in PDF file formats, which are downloadable from most Windows- or Macintosh-based computer systems.
The Internet allows the company to deliver current information quickly and around the clock instead of waiting up to six weeks for printed material, said Suzanne Bork, manager of technical publications for Meritor.
However, the company said printed versions of its technical publications will still be available.
The company said about 100 visitors download files from Meritor’s technical library each week. Meritor’s web site averages 400 visitors per day.
