Michelin adds retread franchise in Halifax
LAVAL, Que. (Oct. 4, 2001) — Michelin North America (Canada) yesterday announced that Fleet Retreading Services, a division of Miller Tire of Halifax, N.S., has become its third Canadian retread franchise. Fleet Retreading Services began offering Michelin Retread Technologies Pre-Mold process in July.
“Miller Tire’s interest in our technology enables us to expand our presence into the Maritimes, a market where demand for our products is strong,” said Marc Laferriere, sales director for Michelin Commercial Truck Tire division in Canada. “We have worked with Miller Tire for years and we know they are well-positioned to successfully offer such added value to their clients.”
Michelin retread Technologies entered the North American market in the United States in 1997, and in Canada in 2000. The company’s first two Canadian retreading franchises are based in Quebec.
