MTA inducts new Pioneer Club members
WINNIPEG — The Manitoba Trucking Association has inducted six new “Pioneer Club members.
To be inducted into this exclusive club inductees must be continually employed in the trucking industry for at least 25 years and be actively and directly engaged in the formulation, direction or execution of policy in a managerial capacity of a MTA member company.
“These individuals are the foundation of our industry today. It is the likes of these individuals, and those that were before them that have built our strong vibrant Manitoba trucking industry that we have today,” says the association.
They include:
Ron Bouchard, Redline Transport. Ron began his career in April 1976 as a driver with Transx and today is the general manager of Redline Transport.
Al Lepp, also of Redline Transport. Al began his career in 1980 as a lease operator for Arnold Bros. Transport and today is the terminal manager for Redline Transport.
Joe Gillis, Thermo King of Mid Canada. Joe began his career in December 1971 as a sales representative with Emil’s Transport Refrigeration and today is the general manager of Thermo King of Mid Canada.
John Martens of Bison Transport. John began his career in 1966 with Virden Freightways and today is the executive VP of Bison Transport.
Bob Moffatt of RTM Transport Ltd. Bob began his career with T.P. Moffatt & Sons in 1973 as a truck driver and today is owner and president of RTM Transport Ltd.
Dan Simcock of Prairie International Container & Dray Services Inc.
Dan began his career in 1978 a city owner operator for Motor Express Terminals and today is general manager of Prairie International Container.
