MVSA looking for safe fleet nominees
TORONTO — The Motor Vehicle Safety Association (MVSA) has announced that nominations for the MVSA Safety to Motor Transport Award are now open and being accepted until April 24, 2009.
The Award honors an individual for making an outstanding contribution to road safety in Ontario.
All nominations will be judged by a selection committee based on such criteria as current and past driving record, road safety promotion and community involvement.
The selection committee is made up of representatives from the transportation industry that may include the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Ontario Provincial Police, Ontario Trucking Association, Ontario Motor Coach Association, Ontario Safety League, Transportation Health & Safety Association and is chaired by the MVSA president.
The Award winner will be honored at the MVSA Awards Evening Banquet on May 13, 2009 and will receive a trophy, custom diamond ring and a $500 travel voucher.
