National Truck League, Zurich Bring New Travel Insurance Plan
LONDON, ON. — National Truck League Insurance Solutions (NTL) and Zurich Canada have partnered to bring a new travel medical emergency insurance plan for their clients.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to better protect our clients business, assets, health, families, livelihood and reputation,” said NTL President Rod Stiller. “This new partnership and policy speak to that commitment”
The new NTL policy has, what NTL said, are “some unique and exclusive features” not offered by any other insurance company in the marketplace:
A Truck Protection Benefit which covers the cost of parking the truck in a secured compound or hiring a private security firm should the scheduled trip be delayed due to a medical emergency;
and Cargo Delivery and Vehicle Return, which provides a qualified driver to deliver cargo and return the vehicle if the trip cannot be completed due to a medical emergency.
Stiller says that not only is this new policy great for the driver, but it will also save companies significant costs if they have a driver with an out of province medical emergency.
“If a driver does have a medical emergency while on the road we want to make sure that they are focused on their health and getting better. However, we all know that the world keeps on spinning and business continues. With some of the new features we have added, such as cargo delivery and truck protection, our clients can be confident knowing that their truck and cargo will be taken care of and that load will be delivered should something happen to them.”
