NB bridge opens again
FREDERICTON — The Princess Margaret Bridge in Fredericton reopened on the weekend after a five-week closure.
According to news reports, repair work will continue on the St. John River span, but the end of the month-long closure means drivers will be able to get across the city faster.
Until now, the 20,000 or so vehicles that normally use the bridge were diverted to the Westmorland Street Bridge and through the downtown core.
Next year the bridge will close for a longer period as upgrading work is expected to take up to three months.
