NB launches moose awareness campaign for drivers

FREDERICTON, N.B. — The government of New Brunswick is launching an awareness campaign to cut down on the number of collisions with moose on provincial roadways.

The so-called "Think Moose" campaign is aimed at getting people to keep an eye out for moose while driving.

The project will include media advertisements, posters, T-shirts, and signs at fuel stations.

Two people were killed in two separate moose accidents in the province last week.

In an effort to reduce the number of wildlife-vehicle collisions, the provincial government erected a fence along stretches of the Trans-Canada notorious for moose crossings.
