New Brunswick spring weight restrictions begin March 10
FREDERICTON (Sept. 25, 2002) — Spring weight restrictions on New Brunswick highways will begin March 10, the provincial transport ministry announced last week.
The restrictions are scheduled to begin effective March 10 at midnight in southern New Brunswick and March 17 at midnight in northern New Brunswick. These dates are dependent on weather conditions and are subject to change, the ministry said.
A detailed notice listing affected highways will appear in newspapers in the near future.
Traditionally, the removal of spring weight restrictions occurs about the middle of May; however, the final date is dependent on weather conditions and temperatures.
