New hours of operation for FAST at Queenston-Lewiston
QUEENSTON, Ont. — There are new hours of operation at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge for the dedicated U.S. bound FAST lane on the bridge deck, the Ontario Trucking Association reports.
The FAST lane will be open Monday to Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. It will be closed on all major Canadian-U.S. Holidays, as well as the day before New Year’s Day, Canada Day, Memorial Day, American Thanksgiving and Christmas Day to assist in the flow of passenger vehicles.
All four US Customs primary inspection booths at the Lewiston Plaza will have the ability to process trucks participating in the FAST program.
Officials from QLB remind carriers that in order to use the dedicated lane they must meet all the requirements of the program, including making sure drivers posses a FAST card; and that carrier and cargo are certified in the C-TPAT program.
