New multi-axle chassis from Rayfab
Rayfab Inc.
Rayfab Inc., a Princeton, Ont.-based custom trailer designer and builders, has introduced the Containall, a chassis that overcomes all of the frustrations and shortcomings associated with
“A” and “B” train sets, the company says.
The Containall is a versatile multi-axle chassis engineered to dock load and unload all containers from 20 to 53 feet. This trailer weighs less than 20,000 pounds and is designed to separate behind the first axle to unload its containers at the dock while the rear container remains aboard
and intact for its scheduled offload.
The chassis allows dock loading of 2 x 20-foot containers without needing to slide axles or
boxes. Other features include: custom designed (patent pending) locking mechanism to allow the Containall to carry any 20 to 53-foor container; super single tires on the front and rear axle; a self-steering front and rear axle; and a sliding rear axle to allow better scaling of 40 and 45-foot containers and promote less wind drag when hauling 2 x 20-footers, the company says.
