New non-steer suspension from Hendrickson

Hendrickson
Hendrickson has announced the availability of a HLR-2 Series, a light capacity, high-lifting non-steer suspension for both the pusher and tag position. Short, medium and long beam versions of the ~R-2 Series create versatility to fit the space requirements of varying dimensions of truck applications and configurations.

HLR-2, ideal for tag positions, provides high-lifting capabilities, accommodates various ride heights and facilitates easier installation. The suspension provides 3.5 inches greater travel than the HLM-2, a 20,000-pound non-steer suspension, for a total travel of 13 inches.

Accommodating ride heights of eight to 14.5 inches, the axle is positioned at the rear of the suspension, allowing greater clearance of vehicle undercarriage obstructions.

The suspension is available in various versions to meet each customer’s specific requirements. The short-beam packaging space, front edge of hanger to centerline of axle measurement, measures 29.5 inches and provides seven inches of lift. The short beam version is rated at 33,000-pounds capacity.

The mid-beam version, also rated at 13,000 pounds capacity, provides up to 10 inches of lift and measures 33.25 inches.

Hendrickson offers a variety of compact, modular air kits to accompany the lift axle suspension product line. Both an inside and outside-mount are available.
