New St. Lawrence Bridge Discussions Start
MONTREAL – Transport Minister Denis Lebel sat down with economic and business leaders from the Montreal region to discuss the future of the new St. Lawrence bridge.
"The views of private-sector representatives help ensure this major corridor will serve all businesses — small, medium and large," Lebel said in a press release.
Lebel listened to industry representatives regarding their views on the future of the bridge, including tolls.
The feds will continue to discuss issues with various stakeholders over the next few months, including municipal and provincial governments.
"The smooth flow of goods and people over the St. Lawrence River is a vital part of the economy of the region and the country as a whole," Lebel said.
