New Trailer Tire From Michelin
Michelin’s new XTY2 trailer axle tire replaces the current XTY and offers a new tread compound that provides enhanced resistance to chips and cuts and exceptional tread endurance.
Developed for regional and highway use with on/off road capability, the 275/70R22.5 XTY2 LRH has a long tread life and excellent retreadibility because of added crown reinforcement, according to Michelin. The company says it also supplies excellent braking and lateral traction.
New Products: Webb Wheel Rolls Out New Hubs
Webb Wheel Products has introduced two new aluminum hubs for R-series drive axles to its line of Platinum Series products.
The new hubs are designated part number 4653 with 3/4-inch drive studs, and part number 4656 with 5/8-inch drive studs. Each weighs 21 pounds and was designed for “short” R-series axle applications.
The hubs join a lineup that includes products for TN and P series trailer axles. Webb says its aluminum hubs, combined with its new Platinum Drums, save up to 16 pounds per axle over comparable lightweight assemblies.
