Oakville, ON fleet honored by Big Orange

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Schneider Logistics and Schneider National spent a whole day earlier this month honoring 32 exception carriers — including a couple of Canadian haulers — at the fifth annual Carrier Recognition Conference in Green Bay, Wis.

The carriers were awarded for operational performance, exceptional service and ease of conducting business.

Two new areas of distinction were added to this year’s ceremony in recognition of the increased freight volume being transported into both Canada and Mexico. Schneider presented awards to Caravan Logistics of Oakville, Ont. and HG of El Milagro as Canadian Carrier of the Year and Mexican Carrier of the Year, respectively.

“The success of our customers is predicated on having a good relationship with carriers,” said Bill Miller, vice president, supply chain management at Schneider Logistics. “Rewarding our carriers for their continued dedication and excellent service is our way of demonstrating our appreciation for their efforts. They are true partners with us in meeting — and exceeding — customers’ needs.”

Meanwhile, TST Overland Express of Mississauga, Ont. was one of several North American carriers to receive a Schneider Logistics Carriers of the Year award.

The Railroad Carrier of the Year went to CSX Intermodal of Jacksonville, Fla.
