O’Boyle to retire as head of Eaton truck group

CLEVELAND, Ohio (May 3, 2001) — Tom O’Boyle, the senior executive in charge of Eaton Corp.Õs truck components business, will retire on June 30. His successor is James Sweetnam, vice-president of the companyÕs heavy-duty transmission, clutch, and aftermarket operations.

Sweetnam joined Eaton in 1997 as the vice-president and general manager of the companyÕs heavy-duty transmission business. He will also assume O’Boyle’s responsibility for Eaton’s South American operations and for the Eaton Quality Institute and the Eaton Business Excellence program

OÕBoyle has been with Eaton for the past 34 years.
