Oceanex sails back in port
CORNER BROOK, Nfld. — Oceanex has resumed its cargo sailing to Corner Brook for the first time since November when the Sanderling ship began experiencing engine problems.
Though still operational, the Sanderling had been slowed by the mechanical difficulty and, while awaiting repairs, had required a full week to make its regular sail from Halifax to St. John’s, according to the Western Star, Corner Brook
An official at the Corner Brook site told the newspaper the vessel was fixed over the holidays and was scheduled to come back into the port this week.
Oceanex continued delivering freight to the entire province throughout the suspension of service to Corner Brook by trucking containers from St. John’s.
