Ont truck shows unite

STIRLING, Ont. — A day after the Fergus Truck show announced it will continue beyond 2009, two other regional Ontario truck shows announced a union that would make each one bigger and better.

Road Today Truck Show in Brampton is partnering with the Stirling Truck Show to promote both events and drum up interest among vendors and truckers, Ruth Potts, manager of the Stirling Truck Show, told the Community Press.

Manan Gupta, founder and publisher of Road Today magazine, is holding his show for the first time in Brampton this year.

To encourage vendors to participate, both shows are offering 10 to 15 percent discounts to exhibitors, prizes for people who attend both shows, and co-competitions, such as the Pit Crew Challenge, reports the paper.

The Road Today Show is May 30-31, while the Stirling show is June 19-21.
