OTA accepting nominations for driver of the year
TORONTO (August 20, 2001) — The Ontario Trucking Association is accepting nominations for its 2001 OTA/Volvo Trucks Ontario Driver of the Year award.
Company drivers and owner-operators contracted to OTA member companies are eligible for the award, which will be presented Nov. 15 at the association’s annual convention in Toronto.
The entry deadline is Oct. 15. Nominees are judged on professionalism, collision-free record for at least five years, and participation in programs and initiatives pertaining to highway safety.
The winner receives a trophy a $300 cheque courtesy of Volvo Trucks Canada.
