Outrunner redesign
Dana has upgraded its Outrunner wheel seals, promising longer life and better performance while reducing wheel-end maintenance costs.
The new seal uses a hybrid material of rubber and metal to make it more robust against misalignment during the wheel-end handling and installation processes. It’s available on Dana Spicer 20,000- to 26,000-pound single-drive axles, 40,000- to 52,000-pound tandem drives, 10,000- to 14,600-pound steer axles, and 20,000- to 26,000-pound trailer axles. The seals are fully interchangeable with the current Outrunner full-rubber OD seals and are available as original equipment or as replacements.
