Overnite expands coverage in Canada
RICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 23, 2000) — Overnite Transportation Co., the less-than-truckload division of Union Pacific Corp., will expand its service in Canada to provide full-province coverage for Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
The program, called Advantage Canada, is designed to expedite the shipping process in Canada with one master document, a pre-arrival border clearance process, online shipment tracking, and access to all customs documents, the company said.
Overnite now provides coverage to nearly 100% of the Canadian population, an increase in its Canadian coverage area of 20%.
