PACCAR highlighted as a leading U.S. manufacturer

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Kenworth and Peterbilt’s parent company has again earned the distinction of being selected by Industry Week magazine as one of the 50 best manufacturing companies in the U.S.

Paccar joins other notable companies like Chevron, Qualcomm, Dell, Nucor and McGraw-Hill.

“This wonderful recognition reflects the dedication and talent of PACCAR’s 22,000 employees worldwide and confirms the company’s quality approach to technology, innovation and shareholder return,” said Mark C. Pigott, chairman and CEO.

To select the top 50 manufacturing companies, Industry Week magazine evaluated a company’s three-year performance measures including revenue growth, profit margin, asset turnover, inventory turns, return on assets and return on equity. Performance for the most recent year was weighted more heavily in the analysis. Paccar delivered record net income of $1.13 billion on revenues of $14 billion in 2005.

During 2005, approximately 50 percent of PACCAR’s revenues were generated outside the U.S.
