Petrocan launches Traxon gear oil line

Petro-Canada has launched TRAXON, a new line of premium multi-grade gear oils for the high pressures and heavy loads of on- and off-road equipment. TRAXON 80W-90 is intended for high-performance protection, TRAXON XL Synthetic Blend 75W-90 for low-temperature operations, and TRAXON Synthetic 75W-90 Ultimate All Season Protection for all the advantages of a full synthetic, including extreme-cold temperature protection and extended drains. TRAXON 85W-140 and TRAXON XL Synthetic Blend 80W-140 are designed for high loads and high operating temperatures, and TRAXON E Synthetic is for Eaton/Roadranger “extended warranty” requirements.

Petro-Canada recommends TRAXON for most manual transmissions, differentials, power take-off units, and final drives found on trucks and off-highway vehicles used in construction, forestry and mining operations. It can also be used in most universal joints, wheel bearings, planetary gear sets, steering gears, and certain industrial gear reducers requiring GL-3, GL-4, or GL-5 oils.

TRAXON is designed to meet or exceed the proposed SAE J2360 global standard. It is also designed to exceed Dana, Meritor, ZF, Mack, Navistar, and Eaton’s stringent GL-5/MIL-PRF2105E gear oil specifications. For more information, go to www.petro-canada.com.
