Productivity, Expenses Top Concerns for Fleets
EDEN PRAIRE, MN – “Maximizing productivity” is the number one concern for U.S. fleet managers, according to a recent survey conducted by GE Capital Fleet Services.
Forty-four percent of fleet managers surveyed cited the productivity issue, with 29 percent saying that specifying the right truck for the job was the single most important area of focus to get the ideal level productivity.
Tracking downtime and reducing total cost of ownership were also important areas when it came to maximizing productivity, both coming in at 18 percent.
Naturally, there were other concerns that spoke to keeping operating expenses in line: meeting cost-savings goals (24 percent) and the impact of new vehicle technologies — like alternative fuels (20 percent).
