QTA executive Pigeon resigns
MONTREAL (June 13, 2001) — A wind of change blows on the Quebec Trucking Association.
Not long after the QTA elected Marc Brouillette as president, replacing long-standing Clarke Inc. executive Serge Leclerc, the group’s executive vice-president Claude Pigeon has resigned for personal reasons. The parting, which took place June 6, is amicable.
Pigeon had been with the association for 11 years and was responsible for its day-to-day operations. Diane Cloutier, manager of compliance, will assume his duties until a replacement is found. QTA is accepting applications through June 29.
The selection of a new executive vice-president will be the association’s first major decision under Marc Brouillette, the 41-year-old president of Transport SAS.
He was elected QTA president following the association’s annual convention last month.
