Ravens rolls out Eliminator dump trailer

Ravens
Ravens of Akron, Ohio, a division of Fontaine Trailer, is introducing a new medium-duty steel dump trailer, the Eliminator, for owner-operators and small fleets that haul foundation stones, small demolition, sand and gravel, and other small-particle materials.

The Eliminator is a light-weight, low-cost version of Ravens’ popular heavy-duty Terminator trailer. Whereas the Terminator has a l/4-inch steel tub, the Eliminator has a 3/16-inch AR400 steel tub, lighter components and a shorter fender over the tandems. These changes make it 1,100 pounds lighter than the Terminator and lower its cost, the company says.

Charles Creasy, sales manager for Ravens’ steel dump line, says the trailer is ideal for owner-operators who don’t have a dedicated run and may do several types of jobs throughout the week, and for small fleets and construction contractors who haul a variety of small-particle materials.
Rather than having three or four different dumps, this single trailer will accommodate most jobs, he says.

The standard Eliminator floor can be upgraded to a 1/4-inch AR400 steel. Other options include a two-way tailgate or high-lift gate and an asphalt hinge. It is available as a quarter-frame, frameless or frame-type dump trailer in lengths ranging from 22 to 39 feet.
