Reimer awards employee’s kid with scholarship
WINNIPEG — LTL giant Reimer Express Lines is helping one young lady get a good start in life. The carrier recently awarded Karly Neveu the Dr. Donald S. Reimer Scholarship.
Karly, whose father is director of field sales for Western Canada and has been with the carrier for 20 years, is the sixth recipient of a Reimer Express scholarship. She earned the scholarship on the basis of academic achievement along with her involvement in extra-curricular activities.
This scholarship has a value of $5,000.00 annually for a maximum of four consecutive years to a total of $20,000.00. The scholarship is open to dependants of Reimer employees.
Karly is graduating with honours from the French Immersion Program and has represented the province at national sports competitions. Her teachers have found her to be an excellent student, a gifted athlete and a supportive and giving friend. She has been a peer tutor, works with physically and mentally challenged students and coaches high jump at an elementary school. She is a nationally ranked high jumper and was just named Female Athlete of the Year at her high school, Earl Marriott Secondary, in Surrey, B.C.
