Reinforced Slider Box

To meet the increasing strength demands of longer trailers, Hendrickson has reinforced its K-2 trailer slider box by installing, at no cost, a third crossmember to the front of the box. It increases strength by a third, the company says, adding that even with the third crossmember, the slider system remains one of the lightest in the industry. The new cross member sits in front of the forward “K” brace and is standard on all K-2 Boxes except the Ramp-Ready Slider. The refined K-2 box accommodates Hendrickson’s fully pneumatic QUIK-DRAW pin-pull mechanism. However, due to the strategic placement of the third crossmember, the company’s earlier lever-actuated, air-assist pin-pull mechanism and other customer-supplied spring devices will no longer be available.
