Relax, take a seat
Relaxor
ComfortALERT, from Woodbridge, Ont.-based Relaxor Massage Seating Products, is a vehicular seating comfort technology aimed at the physiological stresses of long-haul trucking.
Developed by a former owner-operator, ComfortALERT uses PulseMassage Body Rhythm design with programmable rhythms and variable speed intensity which selectively stimulates muscle groups in the back and even behind the knees.
The product, which can be installed in any foam-molded seat, including buses and passenger cars, easily adapts to suit your body and massage preferences. Custom controls can also be installed in armrests, seat frames, dash, door panels, or consoles. It comes with or without heat options and hooks into the vehicles existing 12-volt system.
ComfortALERT, which has recently been incorporated in about 300 trucks for Challenger Motor Freight and other bus fleets, can also be hooked up to Eaton VORAD or other fatigue warning devices to physically alert or wake up the driver when the systems identify signs of fatigue.
