Road Today Truck Show Rocks Brampton

BRAMPTON — The Powerade Centre here will brim inside and out with diesels, drivers and all things desi this Saturday and Sunday as the Road Today Truck Show takes centre stage for the fourth consecutive year.

Approximately 100 exhibitors will showcase new trucks, heavy-duty parts, engines, power-train components, and pretty much anything else you’d need to run trucks, whether you’re an owner-operator, fleet owner, or merely somebody interested in getting a job in the field.

There’s more.

The Road Today show’s trademark is its delightful mix of trucking and culture, so visitors take in fabulous music, live performances and savory food, with special programs for kids and family members. The show-and-shine competition is a perennial highlight.

The Brampton Road Safety Committee is using the show to launch a distracted-driving campaign, featuring an on-site driving simulator.

The brains behind the show is Road Today Media Group President Manan Gupta. Here’s what he has to say about the distracted-driving exhibit.

“Drivers can experience firsthand– without putting their lives on the line—what can happen when driving while distracted.”

Gupta also says the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Canadian Border Services Agency, Ontario Provincial Police and many other agencies will be on-site to share important industry updates.

Attendance is free and the show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
