Ryder opens four-acre truck store
OAKVILLE, Ont. — Want to kick the treads of a few used trucks? Rather a heck of a lot of used trucks?
Ryder System today opened its new "mega" retail used truck centre in Oakville, Ont., and it’s the company’s largest used-vehicle center on the continent.
The center is located on more than four acres at 3422 Superior Court at Highway 403/QEW and Burloak Drive. (The street’s brand new so you can’t google-map it. Just go about a mile south on Burloak from the QEW until you see the Timmie’s on the left-hand side.)
"The Greater Toronto Area is an important and developing market for us," said Tony Tegnelia, Ryder’s president of global fleet management solutions.
"This is the second retail used vehicle location Ryder has built in Canada within the last year. This mega retail center will be one of Ryder’s largest used truck retail centres in North America and the largest one in Canada. We are honoured to provide businesses with quality used trucks to support their fleet needs, especially during these challenging economic times."
It’s big. More than 300 trucks will be available, including panel vans, light-and heavy-duty straight trucks, and tractors.
Each vehicle is Ryder Road Ready certified and comes with a 30-day warranty and complete vehicle maintenance history.
Noted Gregg Nierenberg, Ryder’s group director of vehicle sales. "Ryder has had business operations in Canada for more than 50 years and looks forward to continuing to provide transportation solutions and outstanding customer service to the Canadian marketplace well into the future."
