Ryder System to manage logistics for ArvinMeritor
TROY, Mich. (May 3, 2001) Ð ArvinMeritor, which produces original and aftermarket components for light and commercial vehicles, will use Ryder System as its lead logistics manager.
Ryder will manage inbound, outbound and third-party shipments domestically and internationally for all ArvinMeritor locations throughout North America and Europe. Services provided by Ryder under the contract include procurement process support, transportation service provider management, freight bill auditing and payment, invoicing, and management reporting. Additionally,
Ryder will negotiate rates for ArvinMeritor with providers of ground, rail, air and ocean transportation services. Additional terms of the agreement, including its duration and financial information, were not made public.
