Saia, Vitran enhance regional LTL partnership

KANSAS CITY — Saia and Vitran Corp., two regional less-than-truckload specialists, announced enhancements to their ONETrak service agreement to encompass all direct points in the United States and Canada.

ONETrak provides shippers with one pro number from origin to destination, shipments traced throughout the entire coverage areas of both companies, and access to imaged documents such as bills of lading and delivery receipts.

“This is an ideal geographic match,” said Rick Gaetz, Vitran president and CEO. “This expands our customer service tremendously and the enhancements meet customer requirements for shipment visibility. Additionally, this will provide growth for both companies.”

Vitran, based in Toronto, services 18 states in the U.S. Midwest and South and all 10 provinces in Canada. Saia, a subsidiary of Kansas City-based SCS Transportation, operates across the South, Southwest, and Northwest United States.
