SeaView Dives Into Trucking

SeaView Video Technology, a manufacturer of cameras, communications devices, and video displays for boats, will expand into trucking with the introduction of an onboard communications product that transmits video signals over DC power lines.

The system consists of two small environmentally sealed transmitter and receiver modules, for simple installation to a truck’s existing electrical wiring harness. Video signals from a camera mounted on the vehicle’s rear or side are transmitted to a video monitor mounted inside the truck cab. The receiver uses a standard cigarette lighter adapter to power it and the monitor while intercepting and converting the video signal which is transmitted within the wiring harness.

The company is currently establishing channel partners for marketing and distribution of the technology into the trucking industry.
