Security, safety to be main topics at CVSA workshop

George Rodriguez, director of cargo security at the Transportation Security Administration, will describe the agency’s mission and functions, including its security matters and their relationship to the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Administration. The agenda also will feature an address by Bill Canary, president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations.

Comprehensive commercial vehicle sizes and weights and workplace fatigue will be the subject of two seminars. An online module that provides extensive information on the CDL program will be introduced and displayed throughout the five-day workshop. The module was designed to be used by both enforcement agencies and the truck and motor coach industries.
