SIRIUS reaches 500K customer mark
TORONTO — SIRIUS Canada says it has signed up over 500,000 paying subscribers nationwide, adding more than 200,000 customers since February 2007.
SIRIUS is the first satellite radio company in Canada to surpass the key 500K subscriber milestone in the 22 months since the category was first introduced.
Since its launch nearly two years ago, SIRIUS says it has captured 82 percent market share.
The company boasts that it is the top choice of truckers in Canada and has captured more than 90 percent of satellite radio sales to-date from
Pana-Pacific, North America’s largest supplier of audio and electronics equipment to the trucking industry.
Recent additions to its lineup, include:
Hockey Night in Canada Radio; E Street Radio — a new channel dedicated to the music of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band; and for all those trucker Deadheads, the Grateful Dead Channel offers rare and unreleased performances and original shows.
