STA’s insurance arm hires new execs

REGINA — Highway Agencies, an insurance firm wholly-owned by the Saskatchewan Trucking Association, is celebrating its 50th year in business.

Highway Agencies was formed in 1955 to assist the trucking industry in obtaining adequate insurance coverage for their operations. Specializing in commercial auto liability, cargo insurance and transportation consulting, the firm has become the leading brokerage in Saskatchewan for transportation coverage.

The STA announces that the insurance office of Highway Agencies is currently undergoing some major changes. Glen Forster has decided to retire after 46 years in the work force.

The STA has named Kim Davis to take his place. He was the provincial manager for an insurance company and most recently as an account manager for a national broker.

Highway Agencies also announced that John Edworthy, CIP, has joined the group as an insurance broker.

Highway Agencies has expanded its product line to better serve both new and existing clients by offering home, tenant, condo paks; auto; farm; business; commercial; cargo; and complete transportation consulting.
