STRANA starts its engine

NEW ALBANY, Ohio (March, 22, 2002) — The Super Truck Racing Association of North America has finally got off the grid line as it announced its ZF Super Truck Racing Championship Series is a go after an agreement was reached with the International Motor Sports Association to sanction the circuit. IMSA is the sanctioning arm of the Panoz-Sanchez Group, the leader in North American road racing.

As a sanctioning body, IMSA will create a rulebook with the input of STRANA.

STRANA has planned on several demonstration events this summer as part of American LeMans weekends, with one stop at Mosport in Bowmanville, Ont. on August 17 and 18.

In related news Haldex Brake Systems announced it will join ZF Group and Continental Tire as a STRANA sponsor and exclusive supplier of brake systems to the series for the next three years.
