Syscan adds three to board

MONTREAL (Oct. 23, 2000) — Syscan International, maker of rugged in-vehicle printers, cradles and docking stations, appointed Jacques Ouimet, Louis-Paul Tardif, and Michel Blouin to its board of directors.

Ouimet was appointed president and CEO of Syscan in August. Tardif is a longtime consultant to the trucking industry, and director of the Canadian Trucking Research Institute (CTRI) from 1992 to 1994. Blouin is a general partner with Lavery De Billy, the law firm that represents Syscan.

Syscan is currently developing additional mobile computing applications, through consultations with its customers, which incorporate “Bluetooth” and “WAP” wireless protocol-based applications.
