Take the high road, I’ll take the low road and I’ll be in Fergus a-fore ya!

FERGUS, Ont. — It’s that time again: your chance to watch grown men dance around in plaid skirts, kick back to some good-ole bagpipe tunes and pig out on sheep’s guts — OOPS!! — wrong event. Our bad. That’d be the Fergus Scottish festival, slated for August.

This weekend, it’s the internationally famous (and much more inviting, as far as todaystrucking.com is concerned) Fergus Truck Show — the biggest of its kind in probably the world. (We’re pretty sure.)

Gates open to the public Friday, July 22 at 9 and things don’t shut down until late Sunday afternoon, after the show-and-shine prizes have been handed out and the demolition-derby losers towed away to the boneyard.

There’s live music all weekend long, culminating Saturday night when the pride of Grande Prairie, Emerson Drive, takes to the stage; plus you’ll find oodles to do for the whole family.

And while it’s too late to book camp sites online; a handful of first-come-first-served spots remain open.

Come see us at the Today’s Trucking/Truck & Trailer booth. See ya there!

(And who knows? Maybe you’ll want to return for the men in skirts a month later.)
