Taxpayers group joins fight against carbon taxes
OTTAWA — It’s not just truckers that strongly oppose plans by various governments to impose carbon tax policies onto Canadians.
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has launched a new web-based campaign aimed at gathering 100,000 signatures in opposition to both carbon taxes and carbon trading schemes.
B.C. was the first province in Canada to implement a carbon tax on fuel. And if the federal Liberals are elected in a couple weeks, a similar tax would be extended to all Canadians.
CTF is a federally incorporated, non-profit and non-partisan advocacy organization dedicated to lower taxes, less waste and accountable government.
