PEOPLENET, TMI SIGN DEVELOPMENT DEAL: PeopleNet Communications and TMI, the parent company of TripPak EXPRESS and TripPak ONLINE document management operations, announced a joint initiative that combines PeopleNet’s signature capture and high-bandwidth communications with the TripPak EXPRESS mail infrastructure, overnight scanning facilities, and TripPak ONLINE workflow software. RICHER ADDS WITH SCORE: Richer Systems Group, a Calgary-based developer of fleet management software, has added new features to its Enrich Transportation Management System (TMS) through a licensing arrangement with SCORE Corp. of Canton, Mich. SCORE is the developer of DISPATCH/400, a fleet-management program for the AS/400 platform. SCORE’s dispatch, freight billing, driver settlement, and warehouse management modules have been combined with Enrich TMS. www.richer.ca

CANCOM CERTIFIES CONTALITEC: Cancom Tracking of Mississauga, Ont., has named Contalitec Informatique, a Boucherville, Que., developer of fleet management and messaging software, to its certified software provider program. The certification signifies that Contalitec has integrated its Transnet software with the OmniTRACS mobile communications system. www.cancomtracking.com
TRANSCORE UPGRADES BROKER SOFTWARE: TransCore of Beaverton, Ore., has released Version 2.14 of Keypoint Logistics, its transportation management system software for third-party logistics providers. In Version 2.14, Transcore introduces a new events module that automatically e-mails, faxes or triggers a third-party application to alert business partners of a change in shipment status. The upgrade also meets EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards for messages among business partners. Specifically designed for brokers, carriers, or 3PLs, Keypoint Logistics integrates functions for accounting, dispatch, and operations in a single system and is capable of handling multiple modes of transportation.
