Three-peat for Penske on prestigious tech list

READING, Pa. — Penske Truck Leasing has once again been recognized for its technological innovations by placing in the top 100 on InformationWeek 500 list for the third straight year.

Penske finished 60th overall.

“We are delighted to once again receive recognition for our technological excellence,” said Bill Stobbart, Senior Vice President — Information Technology. “Our hardworking and talented IT associates across the world share in this award as they support the technology needs of Penske and its customers every day.”

This year’s ranking was partially based on two applications that resulted in process improvements, costs savings and efficiency upgrades: SMARTQuote, and Data Fix and Recovery (DFR).

For nearly 20 years, InformationWeek has identified and honored the America’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual listing. The list is unique among corporate rankings because it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders, says Penske.
