Time running out for ed foundation 100 donor target

TORONTO – There’s just one month left in the OTA Education Foundation’s 100 Donors in 100 Days campaign and the Foundation has a long way to go to meet its fundraising target by July 6th, says the Ontario Trucking Association.

The Foundation is looking for more support from industry to fund its 2011 university and college scholarships. The scholarships are available exclusively to students who have parents who work in the trucking industry.

Donors will receive a Scholarship Promotion Kit to assist them with promoting the Foundation’s scholarship opportunities to their employees.

"At Cavalier, we have actively promoted Foundation scholarships for several years," says Cavalier president George Ledson, who is also a member of the Foundation’s board. "This is a great benefit for our employees that really requires little administration or additional effort on our part."

Several scholarship winners over recent years have come from companies, like Cavalier, that have actively promoted the Foundation’s scholarships to their employees.

The number of scholarships awarded each year is directly related to the amount received in donations.

In 2010, the Foundation was able to hand out was nearly double the number awarded in 2008 as the result of strong industry support.

Charitable receipts are available to all donors. Download a donation form here.
