Tire Sealant Ready for Market
Vancouver’s Lyna Mfg. has successfully completed two years of testing a new tire sealant product and is seeking a marketing partner. Called “Tire Lyna,” it’s a non-toxic casing and rim maintenance gel liner designed to help fleets reduce tire and fuel costs by eliminating air loss and maintaining proper tire pressure, thus extending tire life. The company says the product’s organic chemistry is unique and “must not be confused with latex/silicon-based sealants or goopy stop-flat type products.” It adds that the technology has resolved traditional sealant problems that caused chemical reaction to tire rubber and rim metals, higher speed imbalance, product separation, and short-term product life.
