Today’s Trucking and Transport Routier up for six KRW Awards

TORONTO, (May 16, 2004) — The writers and editors of New Communications Group (NCG) have placed a total of eight entries into the Top 10 position for the prestigious Kenneth R. Wilson (KRW) Awards for 2004. The Canadian Business Press (CBP) recognizes excellence in business-to-business journalism by awarding gold and silver prizes to the two best articles in each of 13 categories. NCG made the Top 10 list in five of those categories.

Today’s Trucking has three articles in the running, Transport Routier, three, and another NCG title, Plumbing & HVAC Product News, placed two entries into the Top 10 in various categories.

Over the past decade, NCG’s trucking publications have earned 18 articles KRW Top Five finishes, including five Silver and five Gold awards. Last year, NCG’s Editorial Director, Rolf Lockwood, received the CBP Harvey Southam Editorial Career Award for Lifetime Achievement in business journalism.

The Top Five, Gold, and Silver winners will be announced June 7 at the 50th Anniversary Kenneth R. Wilson Awards Dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant in Toronto.
