Today’s Trucking publisher buys ExpoCam and CamExpo truck shows

TORONTO — Newcom Business Media, producer of business-to-business magazines, websites and trade shows, has announced that it has acquired the two most popular truck shows in Quebec.

Under the Newcom umbrella, future ExpoCam and
CamExpo shows promise to be best ever

Newcom — which produces Today’s Trucking, highwaySTAR, Transport Routier, Truck & Trailer, and Truck & Trailer West, as well as Canada’s online trucking resource, TodaysTrucking.com — has completed a deal for both the ExpoCam and CamExpo trucking industry trade shows from dmg world media (Canada) inc.

Newcom is also the owner of Truck World, Canada’s largest truck trade show and the second largest in North America. Truck World will take place April 20-22, 2006 at the International Centre in Toronto. Newcom also publishes magazines and web sites in the building/construction and automotive markets.

CamExpo will take place November 3-5, 2006 at the Centre de Foires in Québec City. The show will continue to be managed by Promotions Roger Inc. with exhibit space being sold by Roger Desrosiers. The next ExpoCam Show is scheduled for October 18-20, 2007 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal. ExpoCam will be managed by the Newcom’s Show Division, led by Manager Elizabeth McCullough.

“We are thrilled to add ExpoCam and CamExpo to our stable of trucking industry shows. These events enhance our product offering and make us the largest truck media player in Quebec as well as in all of Canada,” said Newcom’s President Jim Glionna. “We are also pleased to announce that the Quebec Trucking Association, the Canadian Trucking Alliance, and the Automobile Association of Quebec will be exclusive endorsers of our shows.”
